Our Texts are taken from the books of : Gen 3:15, Rom 10:15, Acts 8:5-8, Josh 1:3, Rom 16:20, John 13:4-9, 1 Kings 14:12.
Listen to me very, very carefully. 2021 is about to expire. It would go right into the archive. 2022 is ahead. It is a year to approach cautiously. The Bible says “watch and pray”. There is a reason it has “watch” before “pray”. It is a year to approach with caution like a man who wants to catch a snake by the neck. The year is subtly evil and also kind. If your prayer temperature was 50 degrees in 2021, it must be 100 degrees in 2022.
You may wish to run the year digitally, but the year has decided to run on analog. It is a year where 10 kinds of prayers are needed:
1. Violent prayers.
2. Crude prayers.
3. Unsanitized prayers: that sometimes when you pray, people would wonder whether you went to school.
4. Uncivilised prayers.
5. Wicked prayers.
6. Forensic prayers: prayers to diagnose and discern what is going on.
7. Strategic prayers.
8. Back to the sender prayers.
===> I am praying for somebody here that as you head towards the year, any arrows of the past, present and future assigned against you shall backfire, in the name of Jesus.
9. Travailing prayers: the kind that Hannah prayed. She was praying but only her lips were moving; nobody heard what she was saying. The Gethsemane kind of prayers.
10. Confrontational prayers.
With these kinds of prayers I have described, a spiritual man will know the nature of the year to come. But one major prayer point that is going to be needed throughout the year is the subject of our message this evening.
One prayer you will have to be praying consistently in the coming year beginning from now, is a prayer point I am going to call now. Even if you do not understand it yet, I want you to pray it with holy madness.
===> Evil feet, your time is up, run out of my life in the name of Jesus.
Write down that prayer. It is a consistent prayer throughout the coming year, beginning from now. Let me now explain and follow me as I explain.
Bruising the heel in the spirit is an attack (Genesis 3:15). Straightaway we can see in Romans 3:15 that there are
– beautiful feet,
– ugly feet.
Those who preach the gospel bring good tidings of great joy and this is a very serious thing.
In Acts 8:5, one man entered a demonized and bewitched city. He entered into a city that was in pain, sorrow and trouble.
===> May good feet enter into your life in the name of Jesus. May bad feet go back to the senders in the name of Jesus!
For the first time, somebody went to Samaria and preached unto them and the result was great joy in that city. Some feet enter into a place and they bring sadness and sorrow. Some feet enter into an environment, and they bring joy.
===> May joyful feet enter into your life by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
So these are divided into two:
– Good feet
– bad feet
– beautiful feet
– ugly feet
– feet that bring joy
– feet that bring sadness.
Joshua’s feet carried dominion power (Joshua 1:3). This is a very serious matter.
There is also a curious passage in the book of John and you wonder why Jesus was doing it. Jesus was washing the feet of the disciples. Why not the head? Why not the hands? Why the feet? Jesus was washing their feet and converting them to beautiful feet; the feet that would enter into a town and demons would be in trouble. The feet that would enter into a place and there would be great joy in that city.
A key passage is in 1 King 14:12. This is where serious prayer is needed. The wife of Jeroboam had gone to prophet Ahijah because her son was sick. She wanted to find out from the prophet what would happen to that baby. The prophet was blind, although the woman went there in disguise. The woman should not have bothered because he was blind anyway. Immediately she stepped there, the prophet spoke. He said, “Arise thou, therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.” Meaning that beginning from that moment, the feet of that woman was carrying death.
===> May death feet not visit your life, your home, your business, your family, in the name of Jesus.
===> I am praying for somebody here, if there are any evil feet like that, with anything that concerns your life, with a 21 fold Amen, I chase them out in the name of Jesus!
The feet are important. If somebody says:
– you put feet in the mouth, it means you are saying inappropriate things.
– you put your feet down: it means to be firm and strong.
If you go to buy something and someone says you have to foot the bill, it means you have to pay for it.
– get on your feet: it means to be established.
– you are stepping on toes: it means you are offending people or going beyond boundaries.
That is in the physical. Now you go to the scriptures and begin to look at it. When the Bible says:
– something is attacking your heels, it means an attack on your leg.
– you wash your feet in blood, it means executing your enemies.
– you put your feet in oil, it means you are getting the abundant portion. When we tell people to anoint their feet, they do not understand.
– you put your feet on something, it means you are taking dominion.
So, the feet symbolize dominion. The feet can be beautiful according to Romans 10:15.
You can use your feet to possess your possession according to Joshua 1:3.
You can use your feet to bruise satan and all demonic powers according to Romans 16:20 that we read.
So one way or the other, the feet symbolize:
– power and authority
– rulership
– control and command.
– journey and movement.
So with the help of your feet, you stride towards the future. Also, these feet represent our connection with mother earth. So the feet are spiritual weapons that we sometimes do not use. “How beautiful are the feet of them that bring the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things”. This means that if somebody with the gospel of peace enters into an arena, joy and peace enter into that arena. The opposite holds true. That is to say that some feet are ugly.
===> I am prophesying upon your life, as you enter into 2022, if the enemy has kept you stagnant in this year, I decree by the decree of heaven, that you are not permitted to stay there anymore in the name of Jesus!
These passages we have read, have made it clear that there are:
– Good feet.
– Bad feet.
– Blessed feet.
– Cursed feet.
It is your feet that carry you to everywhere you want to go. You want to get married, it is your feet that will carry you there. You want to drive a car, it is your feet that will carry you there.
The feet are for:
– rulership and dominion.
– directions: it could lead you to the right place or the wrong place.
– your expansion and progress: are linked to it as well.
