Our Text is taken from the book of Matthew 19:26, Romans 1:16.
We continue from where we left off last Wednesday where we were able to listen to a testimony here about the supernatural power of God. Beloveth, when God sometimes moves, to the natural man, it looks like a story, it looks like superstition; it looks unreal. Totally unreal. It looks unbelievable, and that is why we call it the supernatural move of God.
Unfortunately, this generation of Christians has been pushed to a level where they downplay the power of God, and sometimes when people begin to talk about the God of the supernatural, many people are shocked.
===> I see somebody here tonight, your case is different, for God shall suspend any law in order to attend to your situation in the name of Jesus!
===> I am praying for somebody here today: any power that is saying “not so” when your miracles have arrived, “not so” when the hand of God wants to lay something upon your life, I bury that power in the name of Jesus!
So, as far as the supernatural is concerned, the enemy has fanned our current generation to sleep. Many are even afraid to pray it. Many do not believe in those kinds of divine interventions. But what is the stand of scriptures in Matthew 19:26 that we read last week? “With men, this is impossible…”
So really, there are some situations that are impossible to men, but with God, all things are possible. When we sometimes tell students that we can pray and God can tell you “okay, tomorrow, this is what you will be asked in the examination”, you just go there and find it like that.
===> I am praying for somebody here today, may you connect to the God of the supernatural in the name of Jesus.
There are only 3 kinds of powers that a man can decide to connect to. There is the:
– power of man
– power of satan
– power of God.
The power of man includes:
– power of influence
– power of marriage
– power of the tongue
– military power
– power of choice
– oppressive power
– employers’ authority
– legal power
– power of the judiciary
– power of Kings
– power of will
– power of imagination
– ministerial power
– governmental power
– autocratic power.
These are the powers of men. They have their own limitations.
There is the power of satan. If you are a careful reader of the Bible, you find different categories of the power of satan listed in the Bible.
– the power of the dogs
– the power of the grave
– the power of the enemy
– the power of the gods
– the power of the dragon
– the powers of evil.
– The Bible even talks about marine power in Zechariah 9:4.
– the power of deceptive miracles
– the power of death
– worldly kingdom powers
– then the Bible talks about the power of Satan himself
– the power of the devil
– the power of the lions
– the power of the air
– the Bible talks about the power of darkness
– the power of sorcery or bewitchment
– the power of scorpions.
Again, these powers have their limitations.
But there is an overruling power, a power that overrules. That is the power we are talking about and that is the power we believers need now.
More than at any other time, we need to connect to that power, and not only do we need to connect, we need to demonstrate that power.
