The Awesome Power of Midnight Prayers

Our Texts are taken from the books of; Psalm 119:62, Luke 6:12, and Acts 16:22-28.

Now listen to me very carefully as I share an important key with you. The word “midnight” occurs 14 times in the scriptures. Each time it occurred, something strange or big was attached to it.

David was the first person in the Bible who started getting up at midnight to pray. You see, spiritual things are operated with keys. It is not so much as just working hard; there are keys. You will see the testimonies that will come out of this message because it is a key that many people do not know about or hardly use.

The second point you must understand is that God did everything important at midnight. Practically everything important that the Almighty did was at midnight. Every time that the apostles were locked up in prison, it took night prayers to break open their prison houses. That is why if sleep is still caging you, you need serious prayers. Night prayers are extremely effective. I see somebody here today, by the time you start your night warfare, everything you have lost for years, you shall mysteriously recover them in the name of Jesus.

Bottom line: night warfare’s is effective because no one likes to be awake at night. People prefer to sleep. After working during the day, the tendency is that people normally like to rest at night. That is why all the workers of evil pick the night hour.

If you too must defeat your enemies who operate in covens at night, you must learn how to wake up at night and pray through. From 1974, I trained myself to sleep for 4 hours. Once 4 hours are up, my eyes will pop open. And my 4 hours is better than the 10 hours some people sleep. This is a very serious matter if you must survive in the midst of the war that we face. Jesus Himself laid examples for us.

If there was somebody who did not need to pray, it is Jesus. But here you find, “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” If Jesus had to pray, how about you? How about me? In this Luke 6:12, after Jesus finished this vigil, in verse 13, He preached the most powerful sermon ever delivered on earth. That same Luke 6, the Bible calls “sermon on the mount”. All that sermon was preached after the vigil.

It took an all-night prayer to produce such a result. Beloveth whether we like it or not, we have a marching order if we must prevail. If you are still here today and by 12 midnight you are watching Nollywood, you are on the Internet, and you want power, you are wasting time. Our marching order is in Lamentations 2:19. Those who have made television your lord and master, you better change quickly. The enemies of our souls do not watch television. They do not go on sabbatical. They do not take study leaves. They do not go on vacation.
